There's an ongoing exhibition of Jackie O.'s iconic images on holiday in Capri from 1968 to 1972 taken by Italian paparazzi photographer Settimio Garritano sponsored by TOD's. La Conchiglia bookshop on the jet-set Italian island is hosting the exhibit from July 2 to August 20.
A catalogue of the images, entitled 'Jackie’s Capri, Photographs by Settimio Garritano,' has been produced as well as a small capsule collection of classic Tod’s accessories to mark the collab—a bracelet, a Gommino moccasin and a D-bag—all in Capri-inspired blue and available at select Tod’s stores worldwide.
When hubby and I were on our Mediterranean honeymoon, we were faced with a daunting task of choosing between the island of Capri or the Amalfi Coast. Tough. We chose Capri and we were so enamored we decided we wouldn't mind living there (as we said so with a lot of other places).
Love the idea behind this little collaboration. It's simple yet it has all the elements of a feel-good campaign: a style icon, a beguiling travel destination, and a great Italian brand.
Man she had such style! Love it!
