Fantasy Closet {Peplum}

Luncheon Topshop Top/ JCrew Skirt/ Zara Tote/ DSquared2 Platforms// Cocktails RiverIsland Pants/  Seven Bicakci Earrings/ Givenchy Clutch/ Rupert Sanderson Pumps// Sunday Brunch JCrew Shorts/ Totem Tote/ Lanvin Wedges/ Wallis Bangles

I've always judged the peplum cut as the most unflattering kind.. but following The Ramp's show at Philippine Fashion Week, I think I had a change of heart. Truth be told, it's only flattering to certain body types but the peplum top can actually give you better style mileage than you'd think. Just make sure you balance it out with a more tailored piece and you can take it to a dressy luncheon, to fancy cocktails, and even to lazy Sunday brunches.

Sharing Moments with Lander

One of the very first values we inculcate in our child is sharing. Sharing her Cheerios for when she was barely a year old, sharing her blueberries when she was a young toddler, sharing her yoghurt, pita crisps, even her most favorite toys... As you can already tell by now, she loves to eat and the above mentioned are her favorite snacks. At her tender age, that is her idea of sharing-- sharing whatever you have even if its something that you really like.

Beyond that though, what we'd like as parents to instill in her is the notion that sharing is important in keeping our little family tightly-knit and that we don't only share material things but moments and experiences too. She may be too young to understand this but no time is ever too early to start teaching values, right?

Exactly why Lander's new campaign hits the spot. Their family-sized personal care range promotes sharing, bonding, and nurturing. They launched the new look and formula recently at The Mind Museum and the attendees get to explore the spanking new museum! Imagine Le Misch's delight when she found out. We were both stoked to be sharing moments and experiences at the museum.
There is always an opportunity to share, even more so at home. With Lander's family-sized personal care range, we don't only get to apply the value of sharing, we likewise get to save as these are good-quality products with great value for money.
So as not to get overwhelmed with the size, we like using small economical containers. Mischka loves this task and is always so eager to help. With that alone, we don't only get to share personal care products but we also get to share tasks and bond in the process.

Lander carries the full range perfect for smart homemakers and her families. From body lotions, to liquid hand soaps, sports powder, even foot and nail products! I'm clocking in some me-time this weekend to try out the foot products. I shall let you know how that one goes.

Oh and lest I forget, Lander's giving away 6 gift packs worth Php1000 to 6 lucky Mischmash readers! Just make sure you have these steps covered:

  1. Like Lander on Facebook
  2. Follow this blog on Google Friend Connect
  3. Follow @mischmashmikka on Twitter

Office Fiesta Essentials

Two celebrants, less than a week to plan, and a venue where partying is technically off-limits. Those were the circumstances we had to deal with and given those, the best theme for such is a fiesta! A theme that is easy to pull off from the decors, to food, to drinks, and the music too! You just need a few elements to help set the festive mood, most of which, I'm sure you already have at home.
1. Sangria 2. Mustache-on-a-stick 3. Buntings 4. Colorful tablecloths 5. Sombrero 6. Chips & Salsa

So when planning for a themed party at the office-- throw a fiesta and your co-workers are sure to forget they want to siesta!

On a side note, the Mischmash Chic Kit Giveway is still ongoing. Join here if you haven't yet!

Beach Picnic Essentials

1. Carioca Santarem Multiway Cover Up/ 2. Baguette/ 3. Walnuts/ 4. The Accomplice Chardonnay/ 5. Cheese/ 6. Sparkling Water/ 7. Beach Blanket/ 8. Chick Lit/ 9. Fruits

Being such a sucker for picnics and with our family being a huge one for beaches, beach picnics are the kind of escape we all equally enjoy. Last Labor Day, we drove up north to a beach in Zambales and brought a spread of our picnic essentials.

Must say, the Santarem was very versatile from the travel, to the lounging, and to cover-up after a quick dip in the waters. For a day trip, its pieces like this that give you the most mileage without ever compromising style. That, a light read, a beach blanket, a basket of comfort food, my favorite Chardonnay , and my most favorite company-- made for a leisurely Labor Day beach picnic.

Clutch de Rio

Carioca's newest addition are the Rio clutches made of vintage fabrics, fully lined and trimmed with real leather. Sharing the same style philosophy as the kimonos, the clutches are made both for the beach and urban style warriors, always giving that dose of 'unexpected' to any ensemble.
Prints are one-of-a-kind and as much as we want to repeat our favorites, there will be no reruns.
The Rio clutches are now available via Zalora and will soon be out in Chicify too. Here's to hoping you get to clutch a Rio!
