Dissection of an Ensemble {stripes on stripes on stripes}

Told 'ya. I wasn't kidding about my slight obsession with pencil skirts + sweaters. Wore this last week when Le Misch and I had a photo shoot so please pardon the makeup. Obviously we have a slight fixation with horizontal lines too. She was actually wearing exactly the same striped shirt as my skirt when I had to change her just right about stepping out. Overkill! 

P.S. In the photo, she was holding a small rock she picked up outside (don't ask me why) and was trying to give me some outfit posing 101. 

Fantasy Closet {Sweaters+Pencil Skirts}

I'm feeling kind of ladylike recently that I've somehow taken affinity to pencil skirts. Not that its flattering or anything, it just sorts of bring a twist to my perennial favorite article of clothing aka skirts. That and the fact that I wear sweaters with almost anything nowadays. Crew neck, V neck, whatever neck-- its the easiest topper second to a white button down. 

Hence my winning formula of the sweater and the pencil. Make it your own by adding an unexpected neck piece and/or some statement footwear.

Either way, it should be fun. 

Global Pinoy Bazaar {100% Filipino Love and Pride}

We're halfway through the week, fresh off our 4-day long weekend, and we can already see the next one lurking! Weeeee!! 

It's looking all sorts of exciting with Yabang Pinoy's Global Pinoy Bazaar. I've been a little turned off with the bazaars I've been to this year that I vowed to go only to niche and unique ones. Global Pinoy is definitely topping that list as I have openly professed my love for all things Filipino-designed.

Remember Mischmash Stylish Mama Kathy and those fabulous rings of hers? Well, I am a HUGE fan. And I am elated to share with you that she'll be at Global Pinoy Bazaar this weekend! Come by and show her (and the rest of the young Filipino design community) some love.

Mischka Goes to Fashion Week

We're on a four-day weekend so sharing with you just one highlight from the whole enterprise of fashion shows, spontaneous road trips, swimming, trick-or-treating, cocktails smochktails, and movie marathons. Whew! 

Going back to fashion shows, Le Misch had her first taste of fashion week last Saturday. We went for The Ramp's first ever showing at PhFW. The show was nothing short of amazing! Holiday 2011 and Spring 2012 looks were sent down the runway while I make mental notes of the pieces I want to see in my closet. 

We caught 2 more shows after that and I am just amazed at how she can actually sit through all those 3 shows. Not to mention, breaks in between and a late night dinner after. But then again they were all great shows with an equally great dinner after.
