Fantasy Closet {Suitcase Essentials}

I missed yesterday's weekly fantasy closet visit. Sorry about that. Hoping you didn't notice, here I am scrambling to share with you what I wish my suitcase to Bangkok is filled with. I leave in a few hours and have a couple more errands to do before I can head to the airport. 

As always, I try to travel chic and light. Key word: try.

Teepees

We've been trying to divise a plan to get Le Misch to sleep on her own bed through the night. She starts off there but ends up in between us in the morning. While we are enjoying these priceless bonding moments, we know at the back of our heads that this has got to stop someday, somehow. 

She loves the idea of camping in the room so I thought, why not build a teepee since I don't really like a camping-looking-tent in sight, all the time. Aside from the fact that teepees are more appealing than the tents they sell in toy stores, it looks like something that our all-around handyman can do. I'm thinking of painting the canvas, stripes, just like what we did with the table cloth for hubby's 35th. What do you think?

The idea still has safety issues I need to tackle and of course I don't expect a teepee to answer our sleeping dilemma but it's a start, right? A teepee might just give her a sense of independence and security when sleeping. And if it doesn't work, it would still look nice in a playroom.

dissection of an ensemble {sunshine yellow & chambray blues}

Such is what I wore to a Johnson & Johnson event I attended last week. It was a motherhood-related event and I may have come a little over-dressed. Teehee. Blame it on that pleated yellow number which I couldn't wait to wear. It's my most treasured article of clothing in my closet at the moment. The color is divine and the fall of fabric is perfection. It's Faith Hope Love too, hence its extra special. (They're selling fast at The Ramp, as we speak!) I was banking on my chambray cut-out shirt to downplay the dressiness of the skirt but it did little of that, I think. Nevertheless, it felt good wearing (and loving) something I had a hand in creating.  

Weekend Tidbits

To say that our weekend was well-spent is an understatement. As usual we try to squeeze in happenings too many in a span of 2 days. What you see above are just tidbits of Le Misch's jam-packed weekend alone. She spent one whole day with her dad who share her fascination with animals. And another full day with me taking a trip to the market to pick up her favorite croissant, decorating cupcakes, plus a quick 30-min play in Gymboree. We all capped off the weekend with some hearty Vietnamese fare, wishing it was only Friday night. 

The weekend that was.
