sheer bliss

Good morning lovelies! As I eat my bowl of cereal and some pita bread for breakfast with my little girl on my lap (because she wants some more cuddling and canoodling), let me share with you this picture of Halle Berry and her daughter Nahla. I'm no Halle Berry, but I'm a mum and I am quite sure she is in sheer bliss here as I am with Le Misch now.

Have a wonderful day ahead, you all! Hope you get as much cuddling and canoodling with your little ones too.

the perfect (mummy) jumpsuit

I used to think jumpsuits are so seventies... But not anymore when I came upon this.

This is so now and forever. A piece that knows no season. One you will want to use over and over again. It will be eternally chic.

The Alexa jumpsuit by Anusha. It's deep purple.. almost black, made of crepe, with gently flaring trousers.

It has the kind of versatility you can easily dress up or down. Wear with flats or wedges for day and towering heels (if you still can) for night. It is the prefect, chicest blank canvas that works even just by itself. It is a solution to days when we feel like we have a closet-ful of nothing to wear.

Utter perfection. I want one. Don't you?

Oh and it is said to be flattering too! (You don't need to be as skinny as the model to look good in it.)

Happy Friday you all!

fashbashing it

The mischmashed duo is never out of things to do and discover (thank goodness). Last weekend we raided Singapore's national pride at FashBash in Orchard Central.

I was invited to join (they are open to foreign designers) but how exactly will I manage when my little assistant can be more demanding than possible customers? Sigh. The things we have to give up. But hey, no regrets! Le Misch and I had a great time browsing, shopping (a little) and meeting the nation's fashion pride.

Here are a few scenes from our FashBash escapade sans hubby (who was away on a business trip).

Orchard Central

Wishbone and Stark

My most favorite piece- a jersey romper with beaded cuffs. Discounted at $175 SGD from $375 SGD. Still hard to drop that amount of moolah on such a teeny weeny romper, isn't it?

This photo does not do justice to how fluid this number is. Check this for better shots.

I like this one too.

Juang and Juanna. The force behind the brand.
Modern Vintage
Two racks of authentic vintage pieces discounted at unimaginable prices!

Le Misch swooning over the printed kimono as much as I was.

And she was fascinated with this generous slab of vintage fabric (almost like a bed spread) cum cape. A wide leather belt and a pair of chunky clogs would take this piece to a retro style high.

Perhaps even former American Vogue EIC AndrĂ© Leon Talley will apprecaite it too. Tee hee!

What we scored.

My pride and joy bundled up in vintage. She melts my heart- all the time.

Fantasy Closet-- tailored + lace my way

Good morning mummies! Who says we can't do lace for day? Not me! As promised here, I will share with you how we can do a Stella M inspired tailored + lace ensemble.

A tailored button-down shirt is key. If you don't already have one, fret not, you can always borrow hubby's!

In lieu of the impossibly short (but very chic) Stella M lace skirt, we don a pair of lace shorts.

The rest are gold and black themed accessories to add a bit of this and that. (Isn't gold and black, the chicest synthesis ever?)

The elements:
  1. Chambray Blue Oxford Shirt, oldnavy.gap.com
  2. Lace Turn Up Shorts, topshop.com
  3. Marc by Marc Jacobs Hillier Hobo, net-a-porter.com
  4. Lanvin Chain Anklet Flats, net-a-porter.com
  5. Michael Kors Oversized Watch, littleburgundyshoes.com
  6. Chanel Gloss Black Sunglasses, sunglasses-shop.co.uk
  7. Jolie B. Ray Wide Band Gold and Oxidized Silver Rings, maxandchloe.com
Here's to a snazzy Wednesday!
