Fantasy Interiors {If Mischmash was a... Part Deux}

With my reliable point & shoot still recuperating after a great fall, I'd have to skip the usual tidbits post today. There are no photos to share even if we did manage to make the whole weekend enterprise a fun and albeit leisurely one. Let's just say I did go past halfway the book I've been reading since, umm.. forever while Le Misch and her dad kick ball on a windy Saturday morning.

Aqua and orange, whichever way presented is good by me. It's the kind of pairing that gives me the ooohs and ahhhs especially in quirky interiors like these. 

And something tells me this is not gonna be the last round.

If Mischmash was anything, it would be aqua and orange. Over a year of blogging, I've come to terms with my colors and that in spite of the constant change of seasons' hottest hues, I will stay true to my aqua and orange, a match made in heaven.

Fantasy Interiors {Eclectic Nursery}

I have long dreamed of a beautiful nursery for Le Misch. One that's wide, open and well thought of.

She never really had one as we were always shuttling back and forth from Manila to Singapore from the moment she was born up until recently.

It remains a dream as she still sleeps in our bedroom up to now. The need for one has long passed but the longing for one that is as design-infused and eclectic as these is still very much there.

I am smitten by Jennifer Delonge's nursery via Meg Kat's nursery project. It captured all the elements I look for in a nursery (or even in a house)! Some parts organic, some parts vintage, the rest being clean and modern. Now I am head over heels in love with Jennifer's work.

I like the pattern play in this nursery. What with the yellow and white striped ceiling to the dotted curtains and beddings, brilliance by k.f.d.! Of course let us not forget that head popping zebra. I'm not so sure if Misch will like it but it will certainly merit at LOT of questions from her (she is currently on an average of 20 questions per minute. Yes, Hubby and I counted the other night.)

I want her wardrobe and now I want her boy Beckett's nursery! Jenna Lyons seem to have everything, doesn't she?

So there. My pegs for a nursery should a need for one presents itself again. 

Fantasy Interiors {Black, White, and Wood}

Black and white is my fool proof pairing when it comes to a lot of things. The light wood element adds just the right amount of organic feel and 'lived-in' look I so crave for in a home.

I can totally dwell in this place.

The kitchen makes me want to revel in my culinary prowess (or lack thereof); the bedroom (particularly the sheets!) makes me want to stay in bed the whole day; and the living room (with its floor to ceiling glass windows) makes me want to curl up on that chair, read a book, and drink a cup of good coffee.

We're Moving!

Yes, we're moving! Rooms that is. Hah!

Thus the renovations and home improvements we have ongoing so as to have a more peaceful refuge after a long day's work most especially for dear hubby.

This little project of ours got me on a frenzied search for inspiration. Although I already have some visions in  mind, hubby is the exact opposite. He is a very visual person and has to see it in actual to appreciate. Furthermore, he's a minimalist and I'm a bit on the tamed side of eclecticism. So yes, finding a balance between the two extremes is challenging if not impossible. But we'll see. We have a funny way of always making things work, so this might just.
