JCrew Fall {Work Wear Inspiration}

Pencil skirts + sweaters make for a fail safe day-to-night pairing. A personal fave of late.
Cropped pants, printed or otherwise, just work best with pointy flats.
A study on textured layering  that's worth emulating.

Oh JCrew, my JCrew. You sure do know how to get us all excited for Fall. Such season may deem irrelevant at our side of the world but with these looks, you can get us giddy nonetheless.

Calling out all working mothers-- whatever your industry, corporate of creative, try pulling a little JCrew, its rather refreshing.

Fantasy Closet {Sherbet Hues From Work Week to Weekend}

Recently smitten by sugar coated sherbet shades. I'm not exactly the type but with the scorching heat of late, I couldn't help but succumb to the trend. Who wouldn't when these pieces sprouting everywhere are as refreshing as a tall glass of pomelo shake?

The Elements:
WORK WEEK// 1. H&M Mint Green Blazer 2. JCrew Cafe Capri 3. Rag & Bone Pocket Tee 4. Reed Krakoff  Boxer 5. Rupert Sanderson Pumps
WEEKEND// 1. Cheap Monday Tank Top 2. Red Herring Scarf 3. Topshop Pique Shorts 4. Asos Sandals 5. Givenchy Shopper 6. Miu Miu Sunglasses

Mischmash Travels {LA-LA Land}

For our 3-day pit stop in LA, we made sure it was filled to the brim. We made a list of the spots we wanted to hit and restaurants we wanted to try. Of course, we barely made it halfway our list but we were decided to make the 7-hour road trip we took from San Francisco all worthwhile.
A quiet lunch with my little family over Mario Batali's fare is nothing short of perfect to celebrate my 32nd.
Outfit credits: dress, The Ramp/ cape, bought from Hong Kong/ boots, JCrew/ bag, Alexander Wang
We bumped into singer/designer Kate Torralba at the Grove.  It's always nice to bump into a friend in a foreign land.
Ask the girl what her most favorite hotel is and she will tell you-- the W, in a heartbeat. Her outfit: top, Carter's/ tights, SM/ shoes, Nordstrom (as seen in other pictures)
What's a trip to Hollywood without a picture with the infamous sign? Tis the best the Mr. can do though. Meanwhile, Mischka's outfit: sweater, Missoni x Target/ pants, H&M/shirt, Cotton On, sneakers, Superga.
Topping the LA list was the Getty Center. Outfit credits: blouse, Pink Manila at The Ramp/ skirt, H&M/ boots, Aldo.
To be able to stare at Van Gogh's Irises for a good few minutes was the highlight of our Getty experience.
Of course, I had to stop by Kelly Wearstler's flagship on Melrose Avenue. The store and everything in it are ahhhmaaazing!
Goodbye LA! We'd definitely make more time, next time!

Mischmash Wishlist

1. I know I really shouldn't be thinking about handbags right now, much less wish for one. But who could resist 3.1 Phillip Lim's Pashli? The number in ink blue has never left my mind since I came across it months ago.
2. I've always wanted to find a signature scent and I wanna start the elusive search with Jo Malone.
3. MadebyGirl's Love Candy Gold print is on the first half of my list but I have yet to find a bare wall worthy of it.
4. Come join my arm party, Kelly Wearstler pyrite cubes bangle.
5. The style warrior in me can never have enough design books. The book shelf has plenty of room for Deborah Needleman's newest.
6.  Need to replenish the most heavily rotated pieces in my closet. J. Crew Keeper I have my eyes on you.
7.  I'm still searching for the perfect black pumps I can keep forever. This will make my feet rather delighted.

There you have it. My highly edited holiday wishlist. Pieces I don't exactly need but can't seem to stop thinking about.

Le Misch will be sharing with you her wishlist too. Watch out for that!
