Work Wear Diaries

Obviously, I'm having a little too much fun with Instagram. So easy to snap and share away outfit posts! Updating my work wear diaries with some current snaps from my favorite app!
Mint on mint, tone on tone.
A study on layering jewelry.
Chambray and a litte leather for a schizophrenic weather.
Balancing act.
Need for tweed, top with fringe.

Fantasy Closet {Sweaters+Pencil Skirts}

I'm feeling kind of ladylike recently that I've somehow taken affinity to pencil skirts. Not that its flattering or anything, it just sorts of bring a twist to my perennial favorite article of clothing aka skirts. That and the fact that I wear sweaters with almost anything nowadays. Crew neck, V neck, whatever neck-- its the easiest topper second to a white button down.

Hence my winning formula of the sweater and the pencil. Make it your own by adding an unexpected neck piece and/or some statement footwear.

The Elements:
  1. Miu Miu Cashmere and Silk Blend Sweater
  2. Topshop Ponte Pencil Skirt
  3. Charlotte Olympia Pumps
  4. Adri Lara Necklace
  5. Helmut Lang Cropped Pullover
  6. Reiss Daphne Skirt
  7. Christian Louboutin Flats
  8. Roberto Cavalli Gold Plated Bib Necklace
  9. DVF Pauwau Sweater
  10. L'Wren Scott Pencil Skirt
  11. Christian Louboutin Markesling Pumps
  12. Katharine Necklace
P.S. Mummies, fret not. As this may be challenging (threatening even), I urge you not to be thrown off so easily. If you're a working mum, try this ensemble to work (depending on the nature of your work, of course). If you're a SAHM, give yourself a break, dress up, and ask the Mr. out on a date. Either way, it should be fun.

Fantasy Closet-- On the Prowl

If there's one print on the prowl this season, it's the leopard. Always a Fall favorite, this pattern seemed to have been primed to pounce this time around as you see it all over from scarves to tops to skirts to shoes!

So if there is one accent-enhancing piece to have right now, it's a leopard anything.

Quite the purrfect pattern on an accessory as it goes well with almost any look. Just be careful you don't overdo it as you might just get more than a cat's meow.

The Elements:
  1. Christian Louboutin Large Sweet Charity Bag, matches.com
  2. YSL Leopard Belt, matches.com
  3. Christian Louboutin Lace-Up Leopard Bootie, bergdorfgoodman.com

  5. YSL Leopard Print Scarf, webshop.nathalieschuterman.com
  6. Giuseppe Zanotti Leopard Rosette Sandal, bergdorfgoodman.com

Now how can a mischmashed mum like me pull this off? Easy... easy as my weekend look can be.

A pair of leopard flats is the most practical for me. And as I dress from the bottom, everything else serendipitously falls into place, giving me a laid-back glam weekend (fantasy) ensemble.
