Jewelmer {Passion for Pearls}

I am in awe every single time I see this billboard on a flyover on the way to Fort Bonifacio. AND I always point it out to Le Misch with sheer pride that Mama used to work there. The styling, the vintage feel, the choice of models, the simple yet striking caption..PERFECTION.

One of the few things I pride myself in is having spent a year working in Jewelmer. A highly passionate French-Filipino company whose vision is to create the most lustrous pearls in the world. I tell you, they have put that vision into reality. I have never seen so many beautiful things in my life!

Jewelmer is very special to me. I wear it every single day.

Diamonds are nice but I'm a pearl kind of girl. Of course, my photo does not give justice to the luster of my almost 12mm white studs. One of my greatest possessions purchased with hard-earned dough in my early 20's. Trends come and go, but I stay true to my pearls.

An exquisite golden pair of the same size is still on top of my wish list. Someday.

If you share my passion for pearls, visit Jewelmer's branches locally and globally listed here.

Fantasy Closet {More on Orange}

Of course it's only fitting that today's fantasy closet visit will feature the season's hottest color.

I like the look of turquoise set against burnt orange. These 2 colors when put together are enough for a day's ensemble hence everything else is kept neutral and toned down.

The Elements:
  1. Willow Vibrant Asymmetric Drape Dress, frockaholics.com
  2. Turquoise Stone Necklace, lindestore.com
  3. YSL Washed Leather Easy, matchesfashion.com
  4. Lanvin Ankle-Wrap Wedge Pump, bergdorfgoodman.com
  5. Annak x Carlife Watch, nuan.gr.jp
  6. Prada Infusion d 'Iris, selfridges.com

Orange is tricky. Not all of have us are gifted with the skin tone that goes well with that hue. It will do wonders for the olive-skinned but don't despair pale-skinned ladies, a less vibrant shade like creamy rockmelon will do just fine on you.

One way to know if you've the right shade is to put the garment near your face and if your eyes pop and face instantly brightened, then you've got a winner. If you look dull and drab, try another shade.

Have a stylish orange Wednesday ladies!

{A Few} Snaps from the Weekend

Our weekend was mellow and we liked it that way. We didn't have plans, we didn't make plans. We mostly stayed in, had a movie marathon (something we haven't done in a really looooong time), and just had some plain old weekend slow down.

I picked up this bottle of Chardonnay from Wine Depot for its tongue-in-cheek logo. (I'm one of those who gets easily sold to nice packaging). Luckily our 'accomplice' was not bad. Not bad at all that hubby and I finished the bottle over one movie.

We promised her a trip to the stables to see the horses but after 2 failed attempts, we gave in to her request to ride the train. Glee plastered all over her little face.
To cap off the mellow weekend, we tried the new resto in town, 2nd's. Still on dry run but it wasn't bad. Food was good, portions were big, prices slightly on the high side, service was impeccable.
 We'll most likely go back.

The weekend that was. 'Hope yours was wonderfully mellow too.
